Movie actor and director Dev Anand, known for his joie de vivre as Bollywood's "evergreen hero", has died aged 88, an aide said, bringing the end to an era of Indian cinema.

Anand, whose last film, "Chargesheet", was released in September, was in London with his son, Suneil, when he died on Saturday from a heart attack, aide Mohan Churiwala told Reuters.

"Because of its beauty and exotic appeal, Delhi has been my preferred location. And Pooja (Bhatt, his daughter) also prefers Delhi, which is why we've decided to shoot a few portions of "Jism 2" here," says Bhatt.

LONDON: Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has emerged as the sexiest Asian woman in the world, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported Friday, citing a survey.

Eastern Eye, a weekly, conducted a survey through social networking sites like Twitter and Kareena came out on top, edging out last year's winner Katrina Kaif.

Kareena, who recently had hits like Bodyguard and Ra.One, won by 1% of votes, the narrowest ever margin and beat off tough competition from some of the most stunning women from around the world.

Shahrukh Khan probed over cricket team investment

NEW DELHI (Nov 9, 2011): Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan is under the scanner of India's money laundering agency over his involvement in a cash-rich local cricket league and ownership of a cricket team.

Khan, co-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders, was questioned for nearly six hours by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), over alleged financial "irregularities" in the professional Indian Premier League (IPL), reported the Hindustan Times.
