Cinema One Originals Festival 2011 Winners


On its seventh year, Cinema One Originals Film Festival presented brave ideas, bold stories, original movies and a star-studded awards nights.

Comprises of 10 de-caliber and most diverse line-up of original movies from the hard-hitting social critique of "Anatomiya ng Korupsiyon" to the comic tale of a movie bit player in "Six Degrees of Separation from Lilia Cuntapay"; from the supernatural lovers of "My Paranormal Romance" to the supernatural horrors of "Di Ingon Nato"; from the social realism of "Ka Oryang", "Sa Kanto ng Ulap at Lupa" and "Ilalim" ng Tulay" to the social surrealism of "Big Boy"; from the struggle against superstition in "Mga Anino sa Tanghaling Tapat" to the struggle against historical conventions in "Cartas de la Soledad", this year's Cinema One Originals Festival, truly is Brave, Bold, Original.

Best Screenplay:

Best Actor:
Bong Cabrera (Sa Ilalim ng Tulay)

Best Supporting Actor:
Michael Bonapos (Sa Ilalim ng Tulay)
Jojit Lorenzo (Anatomiya ng Korupsiyon)

Best Actress:
Lilia Cuntapay (Six Degrees of Separation from Lilia Cuntapay)
Maricar Reyes (Anatomiya ng Korupsyon)

Best Supporting Actress:
Geraldine Villamil (Six Degrees of Separation from Lilia Cuntapay)

Best Cinematography:
Neil Daza and Kiri Dalena (Ka Oryang)

Best Production Design:
Kaloy Uypuanco (My Paranormal Romance)

Best Musical Score:
Teresa Barrozo (Ka Oryang)
Ronald de Asis (Sa Ilalim ng Tulay)

Best Editing:
Ruben Aquino (My Paranormal Romance)
Leo Valencia and Glenn Ituriaga (Six Degrees of Separation from Lilia Cuntapay)

Audience Choice:
Six Degrees of Separation from Lilia Cuntapay

Special Jury Prize:
Mga Anino sa Tanghaling Tapat
Six Degrees of Separation from Lilia Cuntapay

Special Citation:
Director Victor Villanueva (My Paranormal Romance)
Sa Kanto ng Ulap at Lupa

This year's Cinema One Originals also presented an Honorary award to actor-director Mario O'Hara and the one and only Superstar Ms. Nora Aunor for their pioneering efforts in independent cinema.




Best Picture winner received a trophy and P200,000 while Audience Choice got P100,000 and a trophy.

The awards night was hosted by Kapamilya Venus Raj, Kapatid Alex Gonzaga and Kapuso John “Sweet” Lapus.




Among the presenters were Dominic Ochoa, Dra. Benilda Santos, Angel Aquino, Chris Martinez, Maja Salvador, Nicanor Tiongson, Yul Servo, Jon Avila, Jewel Mische, Jesi Mendiola, Francine Prieto, Bangs Garcia and Kean Cipriano.





Performers include PGT Season 3 grand finalists Muriel Lomadilla and Khalil Ramos and soul siren Nina.
