At least 138 bodies have been found after a magnitude-7.2 earthquake hit Turkey’s south-eastern Van province Sunday, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said early Monday.

Col Gaddafi's last hiding place in Sirte (VIDEO)



The BBC's Gabriel Gatehouse has visited the last hiding place of Col Muammar Gaddafi, where he was reportedly found by NTC forces.
The large concrete pipe was surrounded by NTC fighters celebrating his death and taking photographs of the site.

Libya's ex-leader Col Muammar Gaddafi has been killed after an assault on his birthplace of Sirte, officials say.



Acting Prime Minister Mahmoud Jibril announced the death, and later said the colonel had been killed in a crossfire between Gaddafi loyalists and fighters from the transitional authorities.

DIYARBAKIR, Turkey, Oct 20 — Turkey has launched air and ground assaults on Kurdish militants in Iraq, vowing to exact “great revenge” after 24 Turkish soldiers were killed yesterday in one of the deadliest Kurdish attacks in years.
Turkish officials said about 100 fighters from the PKK, or the Kurdistan Workers Party, mounted simultaneous attacks under cover of darkness on seven remote army outposts in Hakkari province, on Turkey’s rugged southeastern border with Iraq.

Seal Beach shooting suspect was a haunted man (VIDEO & PHOTO)


The Seal Beach Police Department released this photo of Scott Dekraai, 42, who friends and witnesses who knew the salon employees said was the alleged gunman. They said he appeared to be targeting his former wife, who was a stylist at Salon Meritage.
A bitter custody fight and his involvement in a fatal accident at sea weighed on Scott Dekraai, many say 

He had been, at one time, an easygoing man and licensed maritime officer who worked and played on the waters off of Southern California.
